Nano clone mp3 mp4 with blue screen
 

After upgrading my mp4 it suddenly the screen suddenly turned blue,
and i cant see anything any more. I could still hear the music
but without any pictures. please someone help me!!!!!
I used the website s1mp3.org, and after upgrading like 20 firmwares
it still didnt help. i saw on the forum , and people said i have
to back up my firmware. I downloaded the s1fwx, ran the
extract.bat, it said "another program is currently using this file".
can someone help me with this situation? PLZZZZZ

peter_pham , it is of no use if you tried to extract your firmware using the S1fwx tool. As your original working firmware had been erased and over-written by the new "upgrade" that you have flashed in (which is not compatible with your player).

What i could suggest would be to open the player and look for the processor number (eg ATJ2085, ATJ2097, etc). And try recalling the version number if you had seen it in your player.

With this info, it would be easier to search for a more compatible firmware.

I opened my mp4 , and the chip says ATJ2085W on it.
do you know any firmware for these chips?
i am sure that you are familliar with the nano
mp4 players. please help me find one. Btw, the
is still sound coming out from the player, but
the screen has the dark blue color. plz help me fix
it.

Hi,

I have a ipod nano clone with the similar chipset and i tried to recover it using the firmware given in the forums. But unfortunately it is not working. The LCD is just lighting up and no Icon or theme is showing after that. can you please post the latest firmware to a_smartboy8 [ at ] hotmail.com

So I just use mp3 upgrade tool to upgrade it right?

peter_pham , yes. The MP3 Utilites Upgrade Tool would be sufficient.

:( :cry: Unfortunately, it did not work.
here is the steps, and please tell me if I did it right.
1. connected the mp4 with the comp., it recognized.
2.the screen turns dark blue.
3. ran mp3 upgrade tool.
4. it recognized the mp4.
5. downloaded the firmware,,
6. uploaded my mp4 with your firmware, that 1.5 inch.
it says upgraded sucsessfully.
7. THE SCREEIS STILL BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!! :x
please tell me , did I do it right????? :(

peter_pham , the method is correct. Although the Upgrade Tool says "sucessful", it only meant that the firmware had been fully flashed into the player. It does not mean that the firmware is compatible with the player.

At this stage, i'll suggest that you try every single 1.5" firmware for the ATJ2085 series in the downloads section. This is a trial and error method as there is no way of telling which firmware will work with your player.
