PlatinumNANO , you need to open the dead player and check for the processor's serial number (eg ATJ2085, ATJ2091, etc). This way you can locate a suitable firmware.

Regarding the FM radio hard error, it is likely that your player does not have the FM chip installed inside, or it had been damaged.

I was able to bring it back to life but now it's stuck on the blue screen and the hourglass.

PlatinumNANO , the blue screen and hourglass, was it after you flashed a Full firmware and a firmware Dump?

If so, you need to try another Firmware Dump, as it might not be compatible.

The processor chip would be 2nd largest black coloured chip besides the memory chip. You need to verify the processor serial to confirm which of the firmware series does it belong to.

Well when I take it apart there isn't another chip visible there's only one and then the screen.

The firmware on the other one I have that does work says 9.0.4x

And to answer your question it will only show up after I flash it full with 9.0.50 and the dump it with a dump file for 9.0.48.

Alright when I flash it with all the firmware on here it goes to a blank bright screen after a full firmware should it do this or should I see icons and other stuff just like when I first got it?

PlatinumNANO , if that's the case, then likely your chipset would require the v9.0.xx series. If those in the downloads sections do not work, then you need to wait til the firmware extraction tool is able to support the v9.0.48 and above.

When you flash a working compatible firmware in, the player would just startup as normal. But may not be the same interface as your previous version. However, the player would be able to startup and function as normal.

Well what would be better? Either waiting for the firmware to come out or sending it back to uxcell?

I just can't believe that I didn't even get to play with it for at least 30 minutes and it's dead.

PlatinumNANO , it might take anything from a couple of days to months. Nobody knows for sure. From what i know, the previous update from v3.0 to 3.1 took about 5-6months.

I'll suggest perhaps that you contact uxcell and maybe get a refund or exchange. As the player arrived with the FM hard error and it subsequently died.
