scorp77 , if the firmwares in the downloads section do not work on your player, then there is nothing much you can do. As the firmware extraction tool currently does not support any versions above v9.0.43 at this stage.

You can try contacting your seller and see if they have a suitable firmware to send to you.

Also, search the CD that came with your player. Some CDs have the firmware stored in it. The firmware file usually have the extension of .bin or .fw

scorp77, There is proberably no one who can help at the moment as their is no software to extract 9.0.50 firmware.
As lattesurf has pointed out if you have tried all the firmware in the download section then you may not be able to recover your player until the software becomes available.
I do not know what all the files you have on your player are but it could be a hacked memory chip that is causing the weird names. You will need to format the player to correct the problem.

If you have been ripped off with a hacked player by a seller submit a report to www.ic3.gov

Go to "my computer", rightclick H:/ drive and choose "format"?
People are working on new software to flash, coming soon. You have to wait.

scorp77 , i'll suggest you perform a format with MP3 Utilities Disk Tool, as it seems that your file partition system is all messed up. The guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

Be prepared for a drop in memory size after the format.
