I am no longer able to copy data onto my player. How do I reformat it to get it going again?

SuePaterson,

Did you do anything before this problem started happening? Or did it happen by itself all of a sudden?

Have a look at this excellent guide here: http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html.

It will help you to formatting your player.

you can format it in windows like an ordinary hardrive

right click the drive icon..click "format..." then choose your preffered format type..

I was copying files from one computer to another and I think I accidently deleted something I shouldn't........

SuePaterson , what type of player do you have? It is a typical nano-clone or some other brand-name players?

SuePaterson 23rd Jan 2007 1:52 am

It is an nano clone I bought on eBay direct from mympxplayer

lattesurf 23rd Jan 2007 1:58 am

SuePaterson , does your player on/off and function as normal?

Try formatting your player first.
Connect your player to the computer,
Right Click on My Computer,
Select Manage,
Select Disk Management,
then select the player's drive,
Right Click and select Format.

Thank You to lattesurf and arviverona - worked a treat! Formatted as advised, and was able to put my music on.

One more question - how do I keep the screen on?

Hi Sue,

Just to let you know, we are not associated with the eBay seller "mympxplayer". It just so happens that they are using that name as a their eBay account and our site happens to have the same name. But we are both completely different and not associated with that eBay seller at all.

Glad you got your player working now as well.

You can be sure I will tell anyone who needs to know about this site. Thanks a lot!!!

SuePaterson , what do you mean by keeping the screen on? Do you want to keep the screen lighted throughout music playback?

If so, go to the System menu >> LCD Set >> Darkle, just set the value to 0 and the screen will stay lighted.

However, it would be adviseable to set this value to maybe 5 or 10 secs. It saves alot of battery power and gives a longer playtime.

sometimes this error happens when your copying files or saving files on the plsyer when you suddenly remove the cable...error happens..so formatting will br the most immidiate action you can do when losing files is not the threat...

another power saving options but you dont want the LCD to go off while using it..is minimizing the power off time..so if the player is not in use..the battery wont be wasted, instead it will just turn off...15 seconds or 20 seconds will do..
