Default Need Full Firmware (I think)

Hey guys. I was upgrading my firmware on my mp3 player. When i had a power short in my house ><. Now whenever i turn the device on it only shows an hour glass as if ii was loading something. Also when i plug it in it cannot be recognised through My Computer as another drive. Though, it does make a noise. It says adfu is connected.

The chip specs are:

Samsung 649
K9G8G08U0M
P0B0

ATJ2091H

And it looks like this mp3 player but silver in colour

If anyone has any suggestions of how to fix it. I would be most appreciative.

karakx, Firmware for the ATJ209X series of chips are very scarse as there is no extraction software available yet. There are some Full Version 9.0.XX series firmware in the Downloads>Firmware section but very slim chance that they will be compatible with your player.

We were just discussing this 4GB player and the trader you linked to have you opened it and checked the memory configuration. It would be interesting to know if it is a true 4GB with 2x2GB chips or 1x4GB chip or if it is just another hacked 1Gb chip. If you can upload any photo's it would be great

Im pretty sure it was a hacked 1gb chip, as when i put more music on there, it crashed. Which was half the reason why i attempted to upgrade the firmware to begin with (stupid move i realise now).

It was bought from e-britain, and i am currently disputing with them over compensation.

I have tried all the 1.5" firmware on this site. But there was another firmware i got from another site which did some intersting things. Though not fix it as it still shows only the hourglass symbol when turned on.

I will post picks later.

Ok step by step, this is what i have tried.
Firstly, a pic of my mp3 player

Click the image to open in full size.

When it is plugged in/turned on, it shows this image

Click the image to open in full size.

When it is plugged in my computer makes the noise that a usb drive is plugged in but i can't access it through my computer. Then, when i run MP3 Player Upgrade Tools v 4.00 it says firmware is in a state of recovery
(rather long, so ill just link)
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/9195/182mk.jpg

So i use this firmware
Click the image to open in full size.

And get this message
Click the image to open in full size.

The screen now displays (kinda blurry, sorry)
Click the image to open in full size.

So i unplug, turn on, the screen goes back to the hourglass and nothing has changed.
V4.00 of the MP3 player tools came with my mp3 player. But i read somewhere that other versions might fix the mp3 player.

So i triead v 4.07 and received this message
Click the image to open in full size.

But after the device is unplugged then turned on, the same thing happens with the hourglass image

Any other firmware i use results in the mp3 player upgrade tool to become stuck at 5 bars in.

Well if you have any ideas id be very greatful. Or if you need me to post any other images that might help solve the problem please ask me to do so.

Thanks

I have made some progress with the device.
It is workings as a 1gb flash disk (thieving bastards), i used the 9.0.48 in http://www.mympxplayer.org/some-9048...ds-vt2895.html

I guess now i need to find some working firmware, as none of the other functions work.

Wow, my previous post was so a waste of time.
