Switch on the player it shows just about 100 songs

I bought this player at eBay; from "ugoole"... now I unfortunately know that I'm another victim of fraud... :x

The player is 4 GB, I wanted to put about 200 MP3 songs on it and it doesnt work.

On the computer I can see all of the songs are on the player
but when I switch on the player it shows just about 100 songs! Where are the other songs??? This f****** player plays just the half of them!

Can somebody help me please???

dienana , try formatting your player first. The guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

Also, did you put all the files into the same folder?
There is a limit of 99 files per folder, anything above that, the player would not read them.

dienana,

Try putting the songs in seperate folders as well.

Majority of the MP4 players have a file limit of 99 files per location. So if you put them in folders, that will get around it. If you put more than 99 files in one folder, it will only show the first 99 files.

Try that and let me know of the result.

Hey Guys...

Thanks but I already put the songs in different folders (I know about the fact that there is a limit of 99 per folder) and I formatted the player as well

What shall I do now???

I hate this player

Ok, I'm so stupid... I formatted my player not with the tool, like lattesurf said... but now I did it... with

I go insane!!!! Now I know that my player IS NOT 4 GB - it's 961 MB, not even 1 GB!!! F*** !!!!!!
Thank you guys for the tools and everything... I really thought my player is 4 GB

dienana , your player is in fact 1GB. The firmware blocks off about 20MB for the files. So it works out to be about 980MB.

You need to multiply 980 by 1.024 twice. So 980 * 1.024 * 1.024 = 1027MB. Approx 1GB.

The reason for multiplying by 1.024 is because in the computer and memory industries, manfacturers will advertise 977kB as 1MB. As technically, 1kB = 1024Bytes.

Contact your seller and get a partial or full refund.

Hmmm... how are the chances? I think there is not much chance to get a refund...

dienana , it is possible to get a refund. Some members in here even got a full refund without even sending the player back, the sellers "gave" the players out of "goodwill".

What i'll suggest is to open a dispute via ebay or paypal if you used it.
Now since you received a 1GB rather than 4GB, you can either seek a partial refund of the price difference between 1GB and 4GB.
Or you can demand a full refund by sending the player the back.
