Question about firmware

So i killed my player...
Chipset as follows
Samsung 649
K9G8G08U0M
P0B0

ATJ2091H

So i followed the recover dead player and i used the 9.0.48 full version firmware from this site. This made my player readable by my computer as a flash drive, but none of the buttons work.

Does this mean my mp3 player requires 9.0.48 firmware and i just need to wait until i kind find the right variation for my player?

karakx, Any of the 9.0.XX series firmware could work with your player provided it is compatible with your players hardware. I have a 1.8 player that runs on a 9.0.43 and a 9.0.50. Because there are no firmware backup tools for anything above 9.0.43 there are not many firmware available for you to try other than the full versions members have been able to scour the planet for.
Once the tool becomes available then a lot more firmware will be uploaded by users and you may have better luck finding a compatible version.
