graham01 , firstly, it is not as advertised to be 4GB. The Samsung K9G8GO8UOM is an 8 Gigabit (1 GigaByte) player.
Did the player arrive DOA? If so, i'll suggest you contact your seller for an exchange or refund. But i'll recommend a refund as it's not a 4GB player in the 1st place.
Your player would be running a v9.0.xx series firmwares, so you can try the firmwares in here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...mare-dc37.html
But at this moment, the S1fwx firmware extraction tool does not support any versions higher than v9.0.43, so you might face a problem. So an exchange or refund would be another option if the firmwares do not work.

Re: Someone Please Help, 2.0" ATJ2093H
thats for the reply, but i dont have a clue what im doing, so could you tell me which file i should download? i know i need a full firmware becuase it shows up as an ADFU device, and the mp3 update util says it is in recovery mode.
it cant be 1 GB as i already have over 1 GB of music and movies on it, and i checked using my computer and it showed just under 4 gb of space on it.
if it helps i took it apart and got this information which i think is the boardID
ZX-923M-TLS V1.0
2006.11.24
thanks

graham01 , it is definitely a 1GB memory chip. When memories are hacked, you can "store" files over the actual memory capacity. But anything over the 1GB point would only contain the filenames and not the data.
And if you played these files over the 1GB point, you'll experience player restarts or "format error" messages, sometimes your player firmware might be corrupted. Which might be one of the reasons your player is dead now.
The memory hack is meant to fool the Windows OS, so you will see just under 4GB (about 3.98GB) in My Computer.
But anyway, do you still recall your previous working firmware version? If not, you will need to try all the firmwares in the downloads section here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...mare-dc37.html
There aren't many v9.0.xx firmwares as the firmware extraction tool current cannot support those above v9.0.43. But give these firmwares a try first.

thank you, the only thing i could get to slightly work is the full 9.0.50, it lets the player act as a usb flash drive, but the screen is white and never changes, i thought it wouldnt work since my screen is 2.0" and thats for a 1.8". is there anything else i can do?

graham01 , there really isin't much you can about for the v9.0.xx players. If all these do not work, i'll suggest you contact the seller for either full refund (send player back), or exchange (but the memory would be a hacked 1GB).

graham01 , i don't think anyone can help you out on this.
The last solution i can think of is to ask your seller if he has a working firmware for your player. Also try the CD that came with the player, sometimes there is a firmware for the player, it'll usually be in .fw or .bin format.
As the firmware extraction tool for the v9.0.50 is not out yet, someone else with a working v9.0.50 is unable to extract the firmware for you to try.
