Help cant detect

Ok i made a post long time ago about my mp4 and i just needed a new plug which my uncle sells alot of them if you live in canada. Ok i bought it connected my mp4 player to my computer and it says it malfunctioned and im not sure what to do

mymp4 , did you encounter the same error previously with the old USB cable?

I didnt encounter with the first usb cord but the new one works good on my other mp4 player
