no sound in MP3/mp4 player please help

I have 2 GB (those typical compressed memory) MP3/MP4 player. Tilll now the player was running well giving good quality sound on earphone as well as speaker mode.

However, Once a day after charging i find that display & other things are fine but there is no sound when connected through ear phone (silent on music, video, FM palyback, vioce recording playback etc). it seems ear phone function is dead. also on speaker mode the sound has become very low (hardly audible when taken near to ear).

I opened the player & found that one chip ATJ2085H gets quite hot (quite hot to touch) (earlier no heating) when player is switched on. Other functions like game play, display etc are fine.

Please help me I have purchased it only a month back.

dmittal74 , it seems that maybe certain hardware components are starting to fail. As the ATJ processor chip you mentioned gets quite hot as compared to previously.

If it is still under warranty, i'll suggest that you contact your seller for an exchange.

If it isin't, then it is very difficult to rectify the problem. As such components are very difficult to purchase in small quantities from your local electronics sparepart store.

However, do try out your local electronics store, and see if they are able to find and replace the soon to be damaged components.
