sony mp4 auto restart problem

hi,
my new sony mp4 player automatically restarts when ever i try to play a song.
it doesn't happens for first likely 35 songs i uploaded. but then after i make some other folders for the songs, it either plays first 1 or 2 songs or no one and restarts automatically. what would be the problem?

amitshahc , the symptoms you mentioned are those of a hacked memory. You'll need to format your player using MP3 Utilities Disk Tool. The guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

But be prepared for a large loss in memory. Your memory chip is likely a 128MB chip.

it stop restarting now, but the memory reduces to 233MB, it was showing 997MB before i format it with the step you suggested. now what do i do?

amitshahc , unfortunately you can't do anything to the memory now. Your player's memory is in actual fact a 256MB chip hacked to show 1GB.

Those files that were copied over the 256MB point only appears with the filename and without data. That's why your player restarts or gives "format error" when it tried to play these files.

i'll suggest you contact your seller for a full refund (sending player back), or at least partial refund (if you are satisfied with 256MB).
