Re: Dead MP4 Player

hi.
i got it to turn ON the screen(blue color) now. there r three chips in my mp4, one chip have the pine on two sides and other two small ones have pins on all four sides. In sticky's dead mp4 recovery guide, he told us to touch the chip with tweezers where there r pins on two side of the chips. when i make connection with tweezers on two sided pins Nothing happens. but when i make the connection with middle four sided pins chips the screen turns on but as soon as i take the tweezers away(do not make any connection) the screen turns off. So i hold the tweezers with my one hand so connection does not get broken. and i try to make it reconginzie by pc. it does But as unknown usb device. NOT ADFU.
but main problem is as soon as i take the tweezers away it turns off and does not get recognize by pc. IT SHOULD LEFT TURN ON EVEN I TAKE THE tweezers AWAY. Second is that i can not install it as ADFU device. i follow all the steps but still not alot of luck :( Any help ?>
Thanks

haspak , the chip with the pins on all 4 sides is the ATJ processor chipset. Whilst the one with pins on 2 sides is the memory chip. You can short either 1 of the chips.

However, shorting the memory chip is recommended as shorting the processor might damage it and cause your player to be bricked permanently.

The shorting process is a trial and error method, and needs abit of luck. So keep trying.
