Problem with MP4 player firmware. I haven't find solution!
At first sorry for my bad english ;)
I have just bought 3 MP4 Player 1.8" like that : http://powerserv35.net/~powertech/mp4player.jpg On the box i have see that this mp4 have a Fm function, but when i put it on, their is no FM menu into :( So i have decided to try updating my firmware, at first i make a backup with s1fwx which has generate a dump.bin, i save it. With MP4 Player Utilities 4.07, i try update with another firmware and ... mp4 put itself off and impossible for me to put it on. My mp4 player wasn't recognized on Windows Xp, so i have installed ADFU drivers it was OK, but when i try to update mp4 with my old firmware (Generate with s1fwx) there is an error. So i tried to update it with a full 9.0.48 firmware but no sucess :( if anyone can help me ? I would like to know if with one of my 2 other MP4 player like it, i can extract full firmware et put it on my broken MP4. Thx a lot ;) best regards |
LiM92 , currently the firmware extraction tool S1fwx v3.1 can only support upto v9.0.43. The firmware dump you have extracted earlier has missing files. You will have noticed the DOS screen displaying some error messages when extracting. This firmware dump cannot be used as those files are missing.
It is impossible to extract Full Firmwares, only the manufacturers have the equipment and software to do so. What i can suggest is that you try all the v9.0.xx firmwares in the downloads section here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...mare-dc37.html If these do not work, there is nothing you can do until the tool supports your version and you can try extracting the firmware from your other working players to test on your dead player. |
Re: Problem with MP4 player firmware. I haven't find solutio
Oh Ok :(
I have tried all 9.0.48 - 1.8" But none of them are working for my Mp4 Player. I don't understand how people can post full firmware 9.0.48 if S1fwx can't extract it for the moment ? What tools did they use to extract their firmware ? Thx ;) |
LiM92 , these firmwares usually originate from the manufacturers, or sometimes comes on the CD with the player.
It is not possible to extract full firmwares without the required equipment/software that the manufacturers have. |
Re: Problem with MP4 player firmware. I haven't find solutio
Okay thanks for your informations.
But now after trying some firmware, my mp4 player is off ! Windows Xp doesn't recognized my mp4 player. I have tried on 2 PCs and none of them recognized it. :( |
LiM92 , then you will need to perform the Dead Player Recovery here http://www.mympxplayer.org/dead-play...ide-vt567.html
Once the ADFU has been detected and installed, you can continue to try other firmware versions. |
That's ok!
Now i will wait a new version of s1fwx before updating my firmware, i hope the new version will be released in few days :/ Thanks for all lattesurf ;) |
