I have killed my real 4GB Player :D Now i need help

Dear MP4 player users' friends;

I have tried to change the firmware of my 4GB player with my 1GB player's firmware because the firmware of my 4GB player is not playing AWM files correctly and when it plays the movie, you can not stop the movie and can not return to main menu. So i thougt changing the firmware could be useful. But i was wrong i suppose because my player was turned to a black bettle :D Than i read the "Dead Player Recovery Article" and do the things step-by-step. It worked but the firmware which i have downloaded from this website did not work on my player. I could not understand why. Now i need your help to copy my other 4GB player's firmware which is same as my dead player. I have read some article about s1fwm software but i could not understand every steps because of my bad English. So please help me to recover my player. If you know what should i do and if you have a msn messenger address which i can add to my friends, it would be great.

I am waiting your help as soon as possible. Thank you very much!

Sorry i forgot to tell one thing. Now my player is being recognized by my computer but i do not see any storage device on the explorer. How can i format it by Windows as mentioned in "Dead Player Recovery Guide"?

iNDirDiM , you will need to install a Full Firmware first before the drive appears for you to format the player.

However, your firmware is v9.0.50, which the firmware extraction tool S1fwx does not support. So you would have difficulties recovering your player.

But try all the v9.0.xx series firmwares in the downloads section, this is your only way of attempting to recover your player. If all of them do not work, you have no choice but to wait until the tool is able to support your version.

Re: I have killed my real 4GB Player :D Now i need help

lattesurf, thank you for this good information. Yes i tried other firmwares but there is a black screen on my player. My computer could see the device when i connect it but i can only see the device as "USB 2.0 Device". So the firmwares are did not work actually. Would you help me when i could find this firmware in somewhere?

I also need some help about it's AMV playing option. It does not play AMV files correctly and i can do nothing when i start to play an AMV file on my player. I can not stop, jump to next or previous file or i can not jump to main menu. How can i fix it? Do i need a new firmware for this item?

Thank you!

If you know, please tell me how to combine this 2x2GB NAND flash memories with my other player. Thank You! ;)

At last... but what? :)

I have installed 9.0.50 version firmware which this site has it at download section. Now my computer can see my player's memory but my player is not working at all. I see a flashing black screen. Please help me to bring it to life or i am going to use it as a portable 4GB memory :D

P.S. I used different versions of MP4 Player Utilities from 4.0.0 to 4.0.9.

do you have a nano clone? open ur player up and read what it says on the processor (second largest chip) that way u'll know which firmware you had and then u could try finding correct firmware for ur chip.
what type of player do you have? if you have the same chip and player as a person, they could extract their firmware and send it to you.
not if you have 9.0.xx firmware because you can not extract that yet. but if you do identify ur players firmware to be orinally 9.0.xx then you can wait for an extraction tool to be available.

Thank you for these informations. Yes it is a nano clone and i have one more same player. I bought them from same seller and they came to me in same package. I have included the firmware information in my first post. I suppose i have to wait for the tool which can extract my firmware from my working player. I have also video player error in this firmware and i need help to fix it. Anyway. Thank you very much for your help!
