Cannot recover my player

Hi

I have tried the guide for recovering dead players without luck.

My mp3 didn't work, when I turn it ON shows the clock and nothing works. Sometimes my device it's not detected by Windows and sometimes it's detected as "USB device".

When I touch the pins of the samsung chip, I get a white screen but I cannot install the driver (AdfuUpdate.inf) a message appears: "There are no information related to hardware", and I cannot continue with the process.

¿What's wrong?
¿Is it phisically damaged?
¿Can I repair it by reinstalling the firmware?

My firmware version is:

2006/05/22
9.0.43
ACT2097_S75
2006/05/23

Sorry for my poor english, thanks in advance.

Just a question... Do you have the old firmware ?

When you connect the pins... you have to have the player connected to PC I hope u did it.... Have you tried it more times ? Well and it is not a good idea if you don t have the firmware... first try to backup your old one... You can try to repair it and upload back.... Really I have no idea how does your player look like and I don t know the firmware but Try to write more information and I hope we r going to repair it. ANYWAY : Try to give it back to the seller... !!!!

Re: Cannot recover my player

Hi

Yes I have connected the player to my computer, I follow all steps of the guide.

Yes, tried it several times.

I cannot backup my old firmware, but I have another player (the same player) where I can backup it. With my player I can follow the steps without problems.

Hahaha I'm the seller xD

I think that it is phisically damaged, ¿why? well, this player is Metallic and the metallic case (the part where the chip samsung is) it's "dented".

Thank you for your reply!

Sorry I forgot to reply you.

I don't know if dented is the correct word in inglish. Dented means "abollado" (Spanish), I've used an online translator (Spanish> Czech): "hrbolatý, kodrcavý".

Thank you very mouch!!!

dented - have a physical impact ie , the metal gets pushed back??
it wouldnt be because its dented , there is about 2 mm gap between the circuit board and the back cover , and normally there is paper to stop it before it gets too close.
my player is dented , works fine still , you just need to hook it up to your pc and try upload your other players firmware onto it ( aslong as exact same spec), its trial and mainy error , but sometimes you get lucky , its just the right pins i guess , when my player went dead i connected it up and the first pins i touthced works , but other peopole on here have been at it hours and had no luck , it will eventually work , just keep trying
