Default Mp4 Sancom-Melody

Hi all.
I got a new mp4 player as a gift from bank as OEM - no software. It is Sancom Melody CT026 or at least looks exactly the same:

I've googled a bit and found some software. So I plug my player ( winXP has recognized it as a flash disk) in order to create a backup before trying anything. I used MP3 Product Tools 4.22 for backup. All I've done is chacked the firmware checkbox and pressed download.

My player died and has quite sad blank black screen. Windows does see unknown USB device, but no driver suits it ( even AFDU ).

Please help me! I haven't even tried to upgrade firmware - just back up it and Product Tool just killed my player

As I know... it cannot baackup the fw... or does it ? I know the s1fwx can.... Well... I sopose you pressed the bad button or semething like that....

I am afraid you now have to open your player and look at the board number... for exmple it should be : ATJ2051H or somtehing like that... Then you will have to search Full firmwares and then the dumps.... Just follow the mp4 player RECOVERY GUIDE if it is really dead.... Good luck...

Unfortunately I have opened my player already. Unfortunately cause I cannot see the board - it is hidden behind the lcd screen and some kind of caoting. Two small chips are behind lcd and I cannot get to them. RECOVERY GUIDE is not much of a help - my player is not dead 100% as it is recognized as USB device, but not AFDU device - driver is not suitable

As for a bad button - "download" does not looks like "erase" button. All I've tried - to download current fw for backup...

Player is recognized as Unknown USB Device, which means it is not listed as a Portable Storage Drive. I have totaly no access to it. Even MP3 Product tools or MP3 Update Utility shows that no device connected...

It ok - I've managed to fix the problem. 8)
The board of my player is: ATJ2085W with Samsung 616.
The problem with AFDU driver was a USB-HUB. After connecting the player directly to my computer Windows agreed that this is AFDU device

Now the problem is finding the f/w - download section has not helped me.
I f/w I found is working, but I have mirrored image and chineese menu
