Mp3 Player Restarts Continuosly
 

Hi guys,

I am a new user of this website and I first want to apologize if I am posting in a wrong thread. I have an mp3/wma/rec that I just recently bought, but I have a problem with it. When I try to play some songs, the player just restarts itself and then shuts down.

Can someone please help me and tell me what can I do? Should I install a firmware on it and where could I find it?

Hi Dreni, try a format of the player, and copy songs over after that. Are you sure the bitrate of your songs isn't exceeding the specifications of the player?

Thanks a lot for replying, I did do the format and put the songs back but still I have the same problem. As for the bitrate, I am not sure, but I doubt it, because I was able to play songs even with a bitrate up to 320.
I was trying to figure it out myself too, since some songs could be played and some not but I couldn't so I turned here for help.
As soon as I was pressing the play button to play those songs a message "starting" appeared on the screen and then later on "press the ON key" and that was it :(.

dreni , are the mp3 files VBR or fixed bitrate? VBR files are not very compatible with these players and fixed bitrates are usually recommended.

Almost all of them are fixed, I'd say 95% of them, but the player can play even VBR bitrate MP3 until the usual problem reocurrs :(

dreni , does the restarts happen on those VBR songs?

no-one mentioned a memory hack , could it be a memory hack???

Sometimes yes and sometimes not ! As far as I've seen the problem ain't there. It restarts with fixed bitrate MP3s too !
