Default K9LAG08U1M-PCB0 2GB ATJ2091N

[b] If anyone has the firmware for an MP4 player with a ATJ2091N chip and K9LAG08U1M-PCB0 2GB. I have found the chip and have determined that it is indeed a 2GB memory chip. I heard that it is a divided memory chip... has anyone heard of this?

thatjanke , i'm not sure what you meant by "divided memory chip", but the Samsung K9LAG08U1M is a 16Gigabit (2GigaByte) chip.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

yes it says so on the samsung site. so why is it only giving me 256MB? I e-mailed the seller and he fed me some BS about divided memory? He also mentioned partition in that sentence as well. I believe it could be the Firmware. I'm only asking for 2GB. Several of the folks on here are getting 2gig without a problem. I think I have read every string on here that has to do with resetting this kind of chipset. Except the K9LAG08U1M memory chip that isn't mentioned in this forum anywhere. So I decided to see if anyone had any ideas. I've tried every tool with every firmware I've seen. I've reset this thing about 50 times now and still all I can get out of it is 256MB. I've spent at least 30 work hours and 10 hours at the house but still nothing works except the Actions 3.5.7 and all I get is 241MB. I have a feeling it can handle at least a 9.0.42 but haven't found the correct combo.

thatjanke , have you formatted the player with MP3 Utilities Disk Tool yet? The guide is here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

If you had already done it but the memory still stays at 256MB, it could be that the serial number was printed wrongly, either intentionally or unintentionally.

If it was unintentionally, it would be component rejects and Samsung would have sold them at a cheaper price. If it was intentionally, it might be the manufacturer or seller who tried to alter the serial number.

Of course, I have run every tool on this site and still can't get anything above 256MB.
I swear there has to be a trick that has been overlooked. Or maybe it is firmware that needs the proper tool to load the FW with.
