Hour Glass of Death + Can't Format

Alright so everybody knows the Hour Glass of Death I have a problem with that I read the guides and everything my computer finds the USB but it doesn't open the folder so I can format it. I opened my MP3/4 player and I was touching the metal rods or however they're called and it kept turning on and back off etc.

What I really need to do is format my player. Can anyone help me out?

Bacterial , the pin shorting process is a trial and error method that attempts to "reboot" your player, so that you can install the ADFU again.

Try connecting on another USB port that you have not connected the player on before, and repeat the shorting process.
