amrogamal , likely your player only has a 256MB chip installed. It was likely hacked to show 4GB.

Are you trying to recover a dead player?

amrogamal 3rd Apr 2007 1:12 pm

amrogamal , i've only found 2 v3.5.37 firmwares with sc85051f.
http://www.mympxplayer.org/dump-file-v3537-df326.html
http://www.mympxplayer.org/mach-spee...537-df505.html

If they do not work, i'll suggest that you try all the v3.5.35 firmwares here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-3535-dc15.html
And v3.5.37 here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-3537-dc16.html

As there is no way of telling which firmware would work properly with your player, you'll need to try all of them until you get the right one.

i have the same problem. my I-pod have error when i copy files. my firmware is:

sc85051f

25/4/2006

act- v 3.5.35

maybe i need new flash ?!

lattesurf 27th Apr 2007 9:29 pm

james999 , what error do you see when you copy files? Besides the error when copying files, does the rest of the player function properly?

james999 28th Apr 2007 4:14 am

Problem:
when i copy my files to the player i cant copy more than +- 3GB (capacity must be 4GB)
sometimes i have problem when i restart my player after copying files are renamet from:

for you.mp3
to
ˇě´´´č=ééáě.,mp3 (or somethink like that)

player is not able to play this

i thik that the problem is with Firmware

lattesurf 28th Apr 2007 4:39 am

james999 , i'll suggest that you format your player first, as it looks like the memory chip was hacked. Guide here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

james999 29th Apr 2007 9:36 am

so i do format my player and my player lost half capacity. i have 2GB now (from 4GB) ....that is BAD i think.
my memory chip is K9WAG08U1A-PCB0. what can I do?
Before all that operation i can use +-3GB of 4GB but now i can use only 2GB

tadad1 29th Apr 2007 11:34 am

james999, With the 4th and 5th characters in your chip serial being "AG" your chip is only 2GB. Any files that you transfered over the chips true capacity would have been corrupted, that is why you were getting errors because files were being copied to memory that did not exist.

james999 29th Apr 2007 12:07 pm

my files was corruptet only when i copy files over 3GB not 2GB
yes i know the parametres

K 9 W A G 0 8 U 1 A - P C B 0

still i do not understand that all and what is going on?! why the producer made hacked memory??

lattesurf 29th Apr 2007 3:25 pm

james999 , by hacking a 2GB to look like a 4GB or 8GB, they can sell the player at a higher price and for more profits.

james999 30th Apr 2007 7:09 am

how can i Flash player to look like 8GB? is it possible? :?

lattesurf 30th Apr 2007 7:32 am

james999 , why would you want to hack the memory to 8GB?

By doing so, you will only give yourself the same problems as before (ie files unable to delete/move, files renamed).

You can hack the memory chip to show 100GB. But you can only store 2GB that's all. Anything above the 2GB mark, would have problems.
