Ipod nano clone with hour glass

I have a chinese ipod with a 8g tag on the back, the chip reports: K9G8G08UOM
The problem I have is that when I turn it on there is an hourglass and never shows the menu. So I follow the instruction in forum (dead player recovery guide), managed to open the case and I used the short pins method I found on the forum. The result is that my pc shows the message "found new hardware" and then "Usb device". So I follow the procedure to install the driver "AdfuUpdate.inf" but I get the error message "The specified location does not contain information about your hardware".
Do you have any idea what is wrong?
