Default Blue screen with sandwatch

Hi All, I bought thsi MP3 player on ebay:

http://i2.ebayimg.com/02/i/000/92/b2/07d7_2.JPG

It was working fine and then, for no reason it's showing a blue screen with a sandwatch and I can not do anything with it!!!

I followed step by step the dead player recovery guide and it doesn't work...

My player is shown in the device manager as Unknow USB device but it's not showing in "my computer"

I tryed to update the driver and when I want to load AdfuUpdate I have the following message:

The specified location does not contain informatio nabout your hardware.

Anybody can help??

Thanks!!!

Hey chookaboo,
Do not flash the firmware now! Your player is hacked so you try this:
Memory Hack Removal
It will probrably work better after you did this. If you flash the firmware, you will probrably brick it!
K9LAGO8UOM -> 16 gigibit = 2 gigabyte. So your player is actually 2 GB and not 8 GB. You can choose for the memory hack removal process, or contact the eBay seller to get a refund.

Hi Sunburst, thanks for your reply.

I tryed this but I can not run the disk utility tool as my player is not recognised by my computer.

It is showing as unknow USB device but is it not showing as an ADFU usb device.

Try it with another cable or on another computer. If it doesn't work, do not flash the firmware!!! Ask for a refund.

Flashing the firmware is changing the software on your mp4's hardware. Just like windows on your PC. In 99 % of the cases this will kill your player. Just like installing Mac OS X on your PC, dont try this.

And this may solve your problem:

If you succesfully connected it to the PC using the Dead Recovery Guide and this, proceed using the format tool to remove the memory hack.
