Battery came off.
My battery came off during opening, how to get it back on?
Am I screwed? |
Usually the wire snaps off at the solder joint or the solder joint was not good and it came apart.... it is very easy to solder the battery back on, im guessing that only one of the wires came loose? if so it is easier and if not hopefully there is a marking on the PCB marking + and - . if they both came off and there is no markings it is easy to trial and error what way works

Re: Battery came off.
They both came off, and yes, there are markings. But which wire is +, the red one or the black one. And is there a chance that I fryed my player? Because I had it in the PC (for recovery mode) when It snapped off.

+ is positive or RED...- is negative or BLACK , your player should be fine as long as nothing shorted . when the player is plugged in it should work as it gets power from the USB port. theoretically you can test your player by just having it plugged into a USB port.
if you are going to solder be careful not to knock any components, Red wire goes to + and Black wire goes to - . have you soldered before? |
Re: Battery came off.
Well ,It wont work when I plug it in. However, it did when the battery was on and when the battery came loose it did for a few seconds and then it stopped working. PS: Not soldered before, but my friend can do well.
