baa1425 , i'll suggest you try all the v3.5.35 firmwares here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-3535-dc15.html
And the v3.5.37 here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-3537-dc16.html

As there is no way of telling which firmware would work properly with your player, you'll need to try all of them.

Good Luck.

gandor , there are only a handful of Sigmatel firmwares here http://www.mympxplayer.org/sigmatel-firmware-dc36.html

You might not be able to successfully recover your player as there are no tools available to extract Sigmatel firmwares. So others with working players could not extract and upload to the forum.
