dead player, so very very dead
hi everyone!
Well, my player is well dead... here's hoping someone here can help me. The player is a 1gb dealio with included speakers, microphone, two headphone jacks and radio capabilities (no games). The Board ID is mp680-cl-v11. The other day the player gave me a "no files!" error and I tried replacing the firmware. Obviously I bricked it. Still, it did turn on. Just now I found firmware that was supposedly the right one for the board ID... only now the player won't even turn on AT ALL. Any suggestions? Thanks! |
Kosh , do you still remember your previous working firmware version?
Is MP3 Utilities Upgrade Tool able to detect your player now? |
Re: dead player, so very very dead
Well, the previous version was 3.5.35.
The utilities don't detect the player anymore. I tried loading another firmware on it and now the screen won't turn on (but the computer does detect the device). |
Kosh , you'll need to try all the v3.5.35 firmwares for your screen size here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-3535-dc15.html
If all of them do not work, try the v3.5.37 as well here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-3537-dc16.html Once MP3 Utilities Upgrade Tool do not recognise the player, you'll need to perform the Dead Player Recovery Guide here http://www.mympxplayer.org/dead-play...ide-vt567.html When you get it recognised again, continue with the firmware testing. Good luck. |
You have to open your player and unsolder the battery. Then you may connect when you short the pins on memory. It shows in Dead player guide. It connects ADFU mode. Finally you can update your player with right firmware after full firmware. Please, write down your Board ID and Display ID if your player not works anymore. You can use Hair Drier for removing sticky glue between Board and Display. It removes softly without killing your display tape wires. Please, let me know your board id and display id. There are many ID numbers on Display even on Display's tape wires. write down all. I will check your player's right firmware in my resources, but not hope much... :) Messenger with sak_cheegii@yahoo.com. I will check some. My timezone +8
