Default Dead Rockchip Player

I have a rockchip player that has a white screen when turned on. No functions work. ( Was loaded with wrong firmware) When plugged into the computer it does not get recognized at all therefore the firmware upgrade program to install the correct firmware will not work.

Anyone have any idea on how it can be done or if it can be done?

I also had the same problem with my 2" rockchip player. When I tried to upgrade the firmware in April using a firmware sample from the disk that came with the player, what do you know, all that would show up was a white screen. I guess I'm lucky - mine's still recognized by the computer and still works, but when I tried to guess my way around and navigate to the firmware function once again, the upgrade feature failed and said - 'too many bad blocks.' I have absolutely no clue what that means and after toying around with it one frustrating afternoon, it is still sitting in the back of my closet nonfunctional. I'd like to bring it back to life, though, if possible. Anyone have any clues?

I did the same trick as the amv players. I shorted out pins randomly on the large memory/processor chip. It would make the ole bla-duunk noise and then be recognized by the computer. I did this while having the update program running. All I did then was click on the "update" button and tried loading different firmwares. It does not do it forever so watch how many times you try it.
