I-Nickel UXCell MP4 Player

Ok, this has been a nightmare from the get go with UXCell but I will not get into it. Let's just say that I have had quite possibly the worst shopping experience of my LIFE with them.

Anyway, I had a ton of problems with my I-Nickel and they told me to go to their site and download the most recent firmware and install it and it would resolve my issues. I did as they requested and now I just get a Blue Screen of Death.

The numbers on the side of my MP4 player are:
W-KLM123A01.B.061028.S1
KGM136F0 111-2 SL7013

Anyone have any idea where I can get a firmware that would at least return me back to stock? I would like to have this working but it seems like I am going to get no help from UXCell. Every time I e-mail them they respond with the same answer they did the last time telling me to upgrade my firmware and it is like they do not even READ my e-mails.

Anyone help?

ops: I'm afraid if you can no longer connect to the player there's no way to access the firmware...

I can still connect to it ... it still shows as an available flash drive and the screen is just blue ...

Ok, still several months later and no one has an ideas? I have checked everywhere but no firmware restores it, does anyone have a copy of the original firmware.

I have tried all the firmwares on UXCELL's site to no avail. I can see the drive in Windows, have tried flashing it from several different computers, but nothing.

Screen is just blue and shows up simply as a 1 GB flash drive.

Hi magis123,

Really sorry to hear about the problems you are having with your player. Hum. I think their advice on updating the firmware is probably not the best advice to give because if it's not the EXACT firmware for your player, there is a good chance you can get a dead player or the blue/white screen of death.

I'll try to help out as much as possible but more importantly, I'll contact my contact at UXcell and see what he can do for you.

First things first though, do you still have a log of the emails you got from UXcell? Who were you talking to? What firmware they suggested and where to download it from?

Also, what is your order number?

I'll see what I can do.

No, I do not have any of the items any more ... this was several months ago and the final e-mail from them was that I was going to just have to buy another player. They had me download the inickel firmware from their site.

This was a complete fiasco, oh I still have my MP4 player the only problem is it is nothing more than a real shiny flash drive at this point because nothing works other than to put stuff on it for storage.

What about the order number? You don't have a copy of the emails in your sent items? An order number would help.

I dug through a ton of old mail and found the order number #ORD20070403914
