help with dead player

i and my frnd hav exactly the same Mp4 player with only difference that his player supports ebooks and mine didnt. So i extracted his firmware,
repaired it and updated mine. Now wenever i turn on the player a strange
glitched screen comes up. Even the computer does not detect it as a usb
mass storage device.
I have my firmware backup but i cannot update my player unless the
computer detects the usb device !!!
Plz help me !!!

Were they the same make of player not cosmetic but actual board and never flash a firmware that is'not made for your board/ player
