Default K101V12M(MAIN) board

Hi All,
I have a no-brand iPod Nano clone MP3/MP4 player with a 1.5” LCD screen similar in appearance to the one pictured in the Dead Player Recovery Guide on this site. It’s dead, and all I get when I switch it on is the blue screen with the hourglass symbol.

When I hook the player up to my PC I find that it is in ADFU mode. So, I need to load firmware, but I have been unable to find any mention in any of the internet forums or sites of the board number “K101V12M(MAIN)” that is in my player. Underneath that number I found the numbers “20070209YE” which I presume would be the date of manufacture. Those are the only two numbers that I could find on the board (and they were underneath the LCD panel). The player has an ATJ2091N chip, and a memory chip labeled “Samsung 8GB. I suspect this is 8 gigabit not 8 Gbytes.

Before the player went dead, it displayed the firmware version as Lisong MP3 Player – Wilson Co. Ltd. – Ver. 9.0.50

Has anyone come across a board like mine, or can you suggest a starting point of firmware files that I should try? I’ve looked through all of the firmware files on this site and the s1mp3.org site (including their archive database) and haven’t found anything matching or even close to the board number that I have.
Thanks - TJ

TJ,

All i can suggest is to try all the full version 9.0.50 firmwares that are available for a 1.5 inch screen.
You may find one that is close enough to bring it back to life.
Occasionally you'll find that one or more firmware files may make your player undetectable to windows. If that happens just follow the dead player recovery guide until it is detected again as an ADFU device.

good luck

Thanks _Odyssey. I guess that's all that I can do. If I find a firmware version that works I'll post a follow-up for the benefit of the others that my have the same problem.
