Having already opened my case. You need to remove the center buton its only stuck on with double sided tape of some kind same with the screen cover. Then you nee to push carefully on the inside guts of the player once you have moved it a few millmiters you will need to remove the white plate I dont know how to do this bit at i broke mine but once you remove it the rest of the guts will silde out the top.

How do I find out which firmware I should be useing for my mp3/4 player I have one that is ment to be 4 gig and its not working proply but I found out the number off the chip and it says its an 8 gig one I need new firmware how do I find out which one?

vash8, you do not need to take it apart. I'm pretty confident it's the same player as I bought from hailitele.

Board number: BO-018*
**2007*01*28VER: C**

Chip: ACU7503
G2023CA 528

Memory: Samsung 722
K9G8GO8UOM
PCBO
FEE217PAC

Pictures can be seen here

and my post about the same player is here

Ok,
Take out the two screws in the bottom. Remove the "bottom plate", the plastic piece held in place by the screws. Push the board upwards, sliding it through the alu. casing. This requires a bit of force, but I have done it several times without anything breaking, so you should be fine. Be careful with the glass. It is semi-glued on to the rim of the LCD, and it will probably come off as you slide the board through the casing. That's ok, just keep track of it.
I followed the instructions here
