need firmware please help
I have receieved a mp3 player from ebayer hailitele and I didn't know about hacked memory so my player was in the sand time state which sucked as ppl already know and I tried to find a better firmware which fails so to someone who has the same player from that loser could you please send firmware or if anyone knows what firmware could be used with it let me know PLEASE for more of a perference on the player.
Here is a link to the bought player: BRAND NEW (3RD GENERATION) 8GB* 1.8” TFT MP3/MP4 PLAYER. and here is a picture of my player when i turn it on http://i30.photobucket.com/albums/c3...16-07_1827.jpg |
vash8 , i'll suggest you open the player to identify the processor's serial number (eg ATJ2091, etc).
When you plug the player to your computer, does your computer still detect the player as a removable drive? |
Re: need firmware please help
Yes it did but I uploaded a dump file now I guess it doesn't have a firmware anymore and it's back to Unknown usb so i guess I can upload another firmware but I still don't know which and this one is very hard to open and I don't want to break it but I'm sure alot of people came here from that guy he sells alot someone has to know what firmware he's using I seen some guy he has basically the same one from the same guy but he don't have his firmware either
|
vash8 , these players all look similar to each other in terms of appearance, casing, and firmware. But the internal firmwares are all player hardware specific.
So someone else with a similar player would likely have a different firmware as with your player. Flashing an incompatible firmware would likely kill your player and you'll need to perform a dead player recovery. To open your player, you'll need to pry/lift up the white plastic/sticker located at the top/bottom of the player (where the on/off switch is). Hidden below it would be a screw that secures the player. Unscrewing it would allow you to either slide or lift the casing apart. Some players would need the control buttons to be depressed and rotated for the casing to be removed properly without damage. |

Re: need firmware please help
The eBay seller hailitele is one of the worse offenders. hailitele will tell people there are 2 drives, one .7mb and the other 7.99GB. What a load of crap.
hailitele sells are huge. Last I checked over 2500 a month. That's a lot of people unknowning buying hacks. Aweful. |

Re: need firmware please help
You put in new firmware? That could be why you are getting a white screen. The firmware you put in was not the right one. Even though the numbers may have been the same, like 9.0.48 or 9.0.50 or 9.0.51, I found they are not all the same.
You would have to extract the firmware from the player first before you did anything with the firmware but the software to do that can only extract 9.0.43 and lower. If you extract fimware 9.0.48, 9.0.50 or 9.0.50 you won't get a full version of the firmware. When you try to put it back on the player it won't work. You can try a different firmware from the library but your player is most likely killed. To see if it is, if the player is turned on, turn it off. Wait for the screen to go black. Turn it back on again. Wait for 30 seconds. Your player by default starts on Music. Even though you can't see it, press the Menu button. Wait 10 seconds. You will be in the music player. Press the play/pause button. If you can hear music your player's screen may be recoverable using the dead player recovery guide. If you can't, you player is not recoverable. Updating or putting on a new firmware has killed it. You may be able to transfer files to the file. I found that out a few times. I was able to get files onto the player but I couldn't play them. But if you can hear music and use the dead player recovery guide, instead of using firmware 9.0.48 from the library, try using 3.5.35 or 3.5.37 I have used both successfully to recover 2 players that orginally used 9.0.51 and 9.0.50 - It could have just been the model of player I was using but I'm not sure why it worked. It worked for me. I tried it on a 3rd player and it did not work that time. It can be a hit and miss and there are no guarantee's that you can get it working. But you can always try if you want to. |

Re: need firmware please help
Having already opened my case. You need to remove the center buton its only stuck on with double sided tape of some kind same with the screen cover. Then you nee to push carefully on the inside guts of the player once you have moved it a few millmiters you will need to remove the white plate I dont know how to do this bit at i broke mine but once you remove it the rest of the guts will silde out the top.
How do I find out which firmware I should be useing for my mp3/4 player I have one that is ment to be 4 gig and its not working proply but I found out the number off the chip and it says its an 8 gig one I need new firmware how do I find out which one? |
vash8, you do not need to take it apart. I'm pretty confident it's the same player as I bought from hailitele.
Board number: BO-018* **2007*01*28VER: C** Chip: ACU7503 G2023CA 528 Memory: Samsung 722 K9G8GO8UOM PCBO FEE217PAC Pictures can be seen here and my post about the same player is here kallek |
Re: need firmware please help
I have to do dead player recovery because my screen keeps flickering and stuff and it's like not staying connected to computer it stays connected maybe for a second then goes away
|
Re: need firmware please help
So tell me how to take it apart without breaking it
|
Ok,
Take out the two screws in the bottom. Remove the "bottom plate", the plastic piece held in place by the screws. Push the board upwards, sliding it through the alu. casing. This requires a bit of force, but I have done it several times without anything breaking, so you should be fine. Be careful with the glass. It is semi-glued on to the rim of the LCD, and it will probably come off as you slide the board through the casing. That's ok, just keep track of it. I followed the instructions here kallek |
So any updates for this player? I have the same one from CD-R KING
