Dead 2" mp4 player
Hello, I have bought 2" mp4 player with a nokia battery, but after few days the battery blown and became hard to take the back cover off. After that the screen became white, but the player still connects to the pc and plays songs. But doesn't show nothing but white screen :( Can someone help/advice me what to do?
The mp4 is like this: http://i15.ebayimg.com/04/i/000/91/46/16d7_2.JPG Thanks for any help |
Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
Yes, please try to update the firmware with all these and see wich works for your player.

Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
If that fails, this is my last idea:
Try to flash this but with S1WFX. You can get it from Downloads -> Tools. http://rapidshare.com/files/44948521/dump.rar.html Remember this can't be used without that tool. Use only s1wfx to try it. |
Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
Nothing happens :( I'm thinking could the battery damage the player?
|
Yes, unfortunately that battery fail could have killed something in it but i wouldn't be so sure because you stated that you could connect it to the pc and listen to music before the accident. I have no ideas what's left to do, but I'd get a new one if I were you ;). A rockchip based player would be much better than this one. I am sorry this didn't fix your problem :(.

Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
That's ok  I could listen to music oven after accident, but just the lcd was white. And now I can listen to music :) Please tell me more about a rockchip based players. I would be great if you would give a link to ebay

Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
Yes, Rockchip players are multi-tasking, you can play music and browse the menus at the same time, they are capable of playing quality Mp4 (.avi ) movies) and have a miniSd memory slot (up to 2GB). the music quality is very high and they are stable (no problems with lockups or crashing)
Screen sizes are 220x176 (2") and 320x240 (2.2"), Built in memory sizes tend to be 1GB to 4GB. Don't know if any are available from Ebay as I try to avoid buying anything from Ebay unless I really have to. There are a few on Uxcell and the prices are less than ebay prices. In all you get a very good player for very little more money than a cheap ipod clone. Link:- Uxcell |
If you want a Rockchip player, I would definitely recommend a Meizu. You can get a 4gb from NewEgg for $99.00. JTC Electronics and House of DAP also carry them, but they are a little higher. Walgreens also carries them, but after reading some of the complaints at Meizu Me forum over shipping and customer service, I wouldn't buy from them.

Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
Oh, I know those. Had few. In ebay I bought them from power_player88.

Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
Omega kokia beda buvo tavo gortuvui? toki pati turejai?
Sorry guys if you can't understand us  |
Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
Apastalas,
Be careful the one on EBay is not Rockchip, it only plays .amv, Rockchip only plays .avi, This player is not as good as a Rockchip. the Meizu is also very good too but you may find it costs too much. |
Hi Omega! I am glad your player works now. Take care with it :D and don't try to flash it again.
@Apastalas Exactly as knob said, rockchips only play .avi format. So you must take care not to get an action-based player. You can distinguish the two of them if you look carefully. If it says somewhere in the announce that the player supports .AMV format, don't buy it. That's an action. Instead, look at www.uxcell.com and choose one player that says "Rockchip solution". THey are much much better. You can choose a Teclast or a Meizu if you don't find what you need. If you decide to buy a player, just show us the picture and/or ebay page for it and we'll try to tell you if it's a genuine rockchip or an action-based player. Regards. |
Re: Dead 2" mp4 player

Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
Omega: Tau gerai kad tik softas, man issipute batarke noskes. Ir paliko ekranas baltas nuo to, tai nesupratau kas jam buvo.
knob,alex2pb: I had 3 of those players from that seller and all played avi, and music wile browsing the menu. Also I liked the feature that they had Lithuanian language :) Edit: I looked at my buying list and saw this this is the one i had in my hands |
Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
This description is wrong. It does look like a Rockchip player but the advert says "Movie Playback: Supports AMV format."
While the second advert says "Movie Playback: Supports AVI format." I think that sometimes sellers on Ebay may try to cheat buyers to sell old type players as a Rockchip, a new EBay scam maybe. But this one does look like a Rockchip, so this one is probably o.k. |
Re: Dead 2" mp4 player
I will see when I will get it :)

|
And if that doesn't work please try this ones too

Apastalas
Did you get the player with the picture (the one without the card reader) from power_player88? Is it working? I am v keen to get a s1clone image as mine not working any more & no firmware seems to get more than white screen - I cannot even play music! Link to item identical to mine on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/2-Screen-2GB-M...QQcmdZViewItem Please let me/us know Thanks |
