Default Hailitele 8GB* Actual 1GB, 1.8" Fm Radio, AMV Video.

I have one of the . . .

Hailitele 8GB* Actual 1GB, 1.8" Fm Radio, AMV Video Players. . .

I experienced problems with it, (Hourglass Screen), So tried to upgrade the Firmware. . . .Would anyonelse who purchased the same item please tell my what version of Firmware to upgrade with ??? I've tried all the 9.xxx series with either NO screen or WHITE screen.

I reset module to ADFU mode, as per recovery instructions, and the latest version of MP3 tools Ver 4.13 seems pretty good at re-writing firmware to player without need for manual reset . . .

Or is the reset an essential part of the process ?

Cheers to all.

The larger chip has

Samsung 722

The smaller chip has

ACU7503

Further Diagnostic the proved chipset as HYNIX/SAMSUNG 1024MB (LBF)" (protected=0)

First Point: HYNIX AND SAMSUNG MUST BE THE SAME TO THOSE WHO NEED TO KNOW.

Seems to work ok as storage device, but will not boot as an MP3 player. . . Obviously has OS issues.

Actually, ,something weird just happened, ,the s1clone started writing a bin to the player for the first time (I'd tried all the others) will keep you posted.

Even Further to this, there seems to be a flash chip ID. . .

[2514D3EC ] then . . . HYNIX/SAMSUNG 1024MB (LBF)"

It seems that this Identity [2514D3EC ] is crucial to the type of BIN file which can be flashed to each individual player. Wouldn't it make sense to seperate each of the BIN files in the downloads section of this forum according to CHIP ID's, ,???? Then we could eliminate HEAPS of the questions and frustrations of seeking the right firmwares.
