Help me with my Lenan PMP 2900 - I need the firmware 0.0.2

Please help me.

I have updated my new player (Lenan PMP 2900, Rockchip based) with the firmware from this side.

http://www.mympxplayer.org/firmware-...-am-df593.html

I have the same player with the same technical datas.

If I start now the player I only see a white boot screen. Thats all. The Player was further detected by the PC.

I searching for the Firmware 0.0.2? I think the player would run, when I install the old Firmware. Or do you have any idea what can i do?

Thanks for your help

Does your player still play music? and can you get it into upgrade mode?

It 's important that you only use the version of ConsumerUpdate that belongs to your player.
It contains the the base operating system that belongs to your player hardware and your firmware sits on top of this.

these files are the "RockUpdate*.img" image files.

If you have a copy of consumerUpdate that comes on cd with your player use that. and if you can find a firmware that will load into your version of consumerupdate and it is the same screen size try that.

I suspect that the firmware that you downloaded is ok it just isn't right for your player, it's very risky changing the firmware on a Rockchip player as very little is known about them yet, hope it works for you.

Reflash your player with the software and firmware that came with your player.
If this is not possible, try this:

to come in Firmware Update mode: (settings>system>firware-version>update)

hold down the play-button for a few seconds to switch the player on

then push this buttons:

1xleft, menue-button, 4xright, menue-button, 2xright,
menue-button, 1xright, menue-button, 1xright, menue-button,

connect the player to the computers USB

Then use the Consumerupdate to flash

Yes, the player plays music but i donīt have the firmware version 0.0.2 that was installed with the player. Where can I find it?

On the CD that was included by the delivery there was only the consumer update program included but no firmware.

Thanx for the help.

Ok it's good your player is still not dead, the menu is there you just can't see it.
Have you tried to load the firmware posted by rainer v.0.0.003 into your ConsumerUpdate, if your ConsumerUpdate accepts this firmware then it should be ok for your player.
Then you can try to flash your player again with v.0.0.003, but you will need to follow the instructions given above to get to the update option on your player, then connect your player to the USB, and then run consumerUpdate.
You may need to try this a few times because is easy to press a key wrong when you can't see the menu.
I know I had the same thing happen to my player, if you think you have pressed a key wrong you will need to switch off the player and restart it and remember give it enough time to start up before you start pressing the keys. If the update process starts don't remove the USB cable until a few seconds after it says its finished. I hope this will work for you.

Re: Help me with my Lenan PMP 2900 - I need the firmware 0.0

Exist perhaps still another solution?

I pressed the combinations of keys accordingly. Only when I pressed the correct keys the player are recognize as a Rockchip. Otherwise the Player is recognized as a flash drive. Is this ok?

The ebay dealer says that he does not have a firmware.

Thanks for the help.

Re: Help me with my Lenan PMP 2900 - I need the firmware 0.0

Yes, thats good, it should be in update mode if you have pressed the right keys.
Then use ConsumerUpdate to flash the player, use the firmware posted by rainer v.0.0.003 it's your best chance and should be ok. I don't think you will be able to get firmware version 0.0.2.
.
I am interested to know where v.0.0.003 came from , did it come on a cd with your player, rainer?

Re: Help me with my Lenan PMP 2900 - I need the firmware 0.0

I found a firmware which has the same interface as yours and screen size, its is v0.0.000 only the boot up screen is different.
It is in a download of 31 firmwares uploaded by harshit in this thread:-
31 Rockchip Firmwares
It is worth trying to load this firmware as the menu is the same as yours.
The firmware to try is called "1211.rfw", if you cant use your player then you have nothing to lose.
