MP4 doesn't work my pc didn't recognize it

Hi, I need some help here, look I just bought a look a like ipod nano this is a mp3/mp4 like everyone is buying now, and the person says it's working, and I got it, plugged in my pc, and never recognized and in the mp4 just is an image like is sleeping, and in the manual says it is in "wait state". so please help me to find out what to do, this person just says put this thing here, like I don't know to do it.

but anyway, I bought it, and need help.
