luhempatel , have a look in the CD that came with the player, sometimes it comes with a firmware file either in .fw or .bin format.

Install MP3 Utilities and see if Disk Tool or Upgrade Tool detects your player?

If it does, try a format first, guide here http://www.mympxplayer.org/how-to-re...ck-vt2400.html

If MP3 Utilities does not detect your player, then you would need to perform a Dead Player Recovery, guide here http://www.mympxplayer.org/dead-play...ide-vt567.html

However, the recovery is not a 100% solution. And in most cases i'll suggest that you contact your seller for an exchange or refund. As your current firmware version is not supported by the extraction tool as yet.

luhempatel,

Reading about your player, it didn't say anything about flashing or upgrading your firmware. So all you did was to turn it off using the [on/off] switch then this problem started happening? You didn't flashing your player or tried to upgrade the firmware on it?

If that is the case, then that is a serious problem with the player itself and it seems the player itself is more at fault. I've had lots of players where I've used the [on/off] switch and I've never encounted this problem before.

Is it still under warranty?
