Need help, my mp4 just shows an hourglass

Theres so much stuff on this site that i cant figure out what to do or download, my mp4 digitalplayer is frozen, it shows an hourglass on a blue screen. My computer doesnt recognise it anymore. Its some cheap thing from china but it did work at first so thats why im surprised.
And whats this hacked stuff ive been reading, can it damage my computer, what does it mean?

anyway i dont have a number or anything, it looks like an i-pod nano.

Reen86 , try installing MP3 Utilities and see if the Disk Tool or Upgrade Tool recognises your player. If not, then you'll need to perform a Dead Player Recovery, guide here http://www.mympxplayer.org/dead-play...ide-vt567.html

then all kinds of Windows installer packages

Reen86 , Disk Tool & Upgrade Tool are all part of MP3 Utilities. So if you install it, the other 2 parts would be installed together.
