jason , your player would be using the v9.0.xx series firmwares here http://www.mympxplayer.org/actions-9...mare-dc37.html

As there is no way of identifying which firmware would work properly with your player, your only option is to try all of them.

jason , have you unpacked the firmware files? The files downloaded from this forum are usually compressed .7z, .rar, or .zip files. You might need add the extensions and unpack them before you can use them on MP3 Utilities.

jas1uk20012002 , if that's the case, try uninstalling and re-install various other versions of MP3 Utilities. Some versions would give an error during flashing.

thanks for replying and being paitent lattesurf with me i tryed other versions of mp3 upgrade tools and i was still getting the same error message so i tryed shorting the pins again and now i get sucsesfull upgrade program will exit message. but still not a working mp4 player but at least im now getting a white screen and its in my computer as f drive now.

little update i have flashed (B806G6V1.7_2006-10-16_9.0.48.fw) to my player and it sort of works on startup i can see it say welcome but its spelt backwards and the colour is all mixed up and only bottom half the screen the top half of the screen is still white it loads to what looks like the connection between the player and pc but i can only make half of it out.

do i have to flsh it twice as in firmware first then a bin file after or are these the same files.

many thanks
jason

jas1uk20012002 , for the v9.0.xx series, usually you'll just need 1 firmware file as most of them available are full firmwares.

The problem you are experiencing would likely be due to the display driver for the screen being incompatible with your player. The only solution is to keep trying..
