audi_83 , the Dead Player Recovery is a trial and error method. Some people might take a few seconds to get the player detected, whilst others take even days.

Just keep trying until you get the player to reboot and be detected by your computer. Good luck.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

audi_83 , once you get the player to reboot, your computer should detect the player as a new USB device, and you'll need to install the ADFU.

Once done, you'll need to flash in a compatible firmware. When the player receives a compatible firmware, the removable drive would appear under explorer.

Do you still remember your previous working firmware version?
