Default Need firmware for sunplus SPCA536

I have a Best Buy Easy Player PMP Flash, based on the Sunplus SPCA536 chip (without camera or fm) and I uploaded the wrong firmware using the tool included in the CD, so the player died.

Searching the Internet, I learned that by shorting the pins 28 and 34 of the SDRAM you can put the player in a state that you can upload a firmware in MASK-NAND mode. I have tried a couple of firmwares I found, but none works. The closest to work was the one from the french device ntg1. With it, my device was able to turn on and the screen showed some icons and I was able to navigate through them, although the icons on the screen seemed bigger and reversed and I was not able to play or read anything.

I have searched these forums and there doesn't seem to be a solution for Sunplus based PMPs, but I thought I could still give it a try asking again...

fizban , the problem with these Sunplus players are that there are no firmware extraction software on the internet (none that i know of). So it is quite difficult to locate a firmware.

The best solution is if your player is still under warranty, then contact your seller for an exchange.

It`s like an MP3 Player which plays Music CDs only.

The player is no longer under warranty... And the manufacturer doesn't want to send me the original firmware.

Anyway, I have tried the neonumeric ones:
Firmware for NTG-1 with no FM
Firmware for NTG-1 with FM

And the NEC ones
PMP101 firmware
PMP103 firmware
PMP103C firmware

Unfortunately, none of them worked for me.

Just for future reference, I managed to sort of resurrect the player by using the NTG-1 firmware. All the menus are reversed, like if you were looking them through a mirror, and the images do not fit the screen. The buttons do not match the original (e.g. the power button is used to select a menu option), but at least I can use it as an mp3 player... If someone finds a firmware that fits better, please post a reply.
