Re: 1GB MP3 Player shuffle cannot detect

These small player design will not use microcontroller, just a ASIC which does not have modifiable firmware.

Lite,

The one that I have look similar to the one that you show, but when i tried to open it like that, the white plastic is actually connected to the white plastic on the other side. I cannot slide it out, as the button are in the way, If i force it, it'll break...

Any other way?

Modikai 9th Sep 2007 10:00 am

OKay, i got it open.

Had to make a little "adjustment" to the white plastic thing.

underneath the battery, looks like the processor,
all it says is,

ALI

Hahaha, funny,

Seriously, is there anyway to fix it?

lattesurf mention it needs to shorten the chip, how to do it?

HI Modikai

I also have a dead shufle2Gb... batterry is leaking.. and before that had the same problem... yes you can find the little screws... its under the plastic cover there are 2 plastic covers each side ,everthing is really tiny!!!

lattesurf 16th Sep 2007 2:06 am

Modikai , i could not find any Ali chipset related firmwares on the net. Even if you do manage to get the player to be recognised by your computer, without a compatible firmware, your player still could not function.

i'll suggest that you contact your seller for an exchange if it is still under warranty.
