Stuck on hourglass and doesn't get recognized by computer
 
I am very new in the use of mp4, recently the device this with a clock of sand and it doesn't recognize the computer neither achievement that he enters to the menu.

You that have experience can tell me that I should make, but as well as school lesson, because not you that to make the truth.

At the beginning of this forum section, there is a sticky post regarding how to revive dead MPx players. That is what has happened to yours. It has died. I just hope you were able to extract the firmware version your player used. If not, then you need to take the player apart and post the information on the large chip inside. That way, someone will know better how to help you. A picture of your player would also be helpful.

That is the NAND flash, and is not useful for identification except of memory size; I need the part # of the small square chip with Actions logo as show here:

hi all,

i have the same problem with an nano clone mp4 player 8gb.
only sand clock after power on, no way to install it on windows xp prof sp2.
i tried the recovery guide with reseting it and installing the windows and recovery drivers, but without succes, unknown usb device.

i will try it with a windows 98 pc system, maybe it works, i keep you in touch.

the chip is "ATJ2091N" with samsung storage.

yesterday it tries with the described steps and when he requests me the driver he says that it doesn't recognize it. I have attempted it several times and it is never able to recognize the device.

that I should make, will it be that there is a driver that works for this mp4?
