I'm sure that file isn't a full firmware dump. I am unable to load it into s1res or 'repair' it with s1fwx.

I'd advise everyone not to try flashing this file to a player unless it is already 'dead'. But of course, being an incomplete file i doubt it will do any good either way. Sorry.

is a full FW because in sometimes i have recovered my mp4. this FW came into my mp4's cd. and you are right, can't open it with s1res i dont know why, i want to mod the menu, boot and end logo but nothing, with the only tool that i can open is mp3FWtools. i writte to wire and he respond:

you are right,
its a valid firmware file which is enciphered in a new way,
thus s1fwx isn't able to decrunch this file.

since the new version of s1res should be able to access the resources directly from your player,
it wouldn't be necessary for me to crack these enciphering-method for now.
really funny, the update tool needs ~10minutes to decrunch this file, really awesome!!
