Player not showed by Explorer
I have a 1.8" mp4 chinese player that now shows only a blue screen with a hourglass.
I've opened it and shorted the chip (SAMSUNG 725 K9G8G08U0M). Windows recognize the hardware and install the drivers as "USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device" but Explorer doesn't show the removable disk. So I can't upgrade the firmware... What I can do now? Thanks a lot! |
apusoft,
Have you tried to upgrade the firmware using MP3 Player Utilities anyway (even though it's not detected by Windows)? |
Re: Player not showed by Explorer
Yes, I tried. But also MP3 Player Utilities don't recognize the player as connected...
|
apusoft , try uninstall and re-install another version of MP3 Utilities.

Re: Player not showed by Explorer
I tried to use "MP3 Player Product Tool 5.11". Which other program I can try?
|
apusoft , search for MP3 Utilities in the downloads section. It is meant for Actions chipset players.

Re: Player not showed by Explorer
I tryed other utilities and other programs related but no one recognize the player...
|
apusoft , what's the processor chip's serial number? It is the 2nd largest square black chip on board. Check that it is an Actions chipset (eg ATJ2085, ATJ2097, etc).
If it is an Actions chipset, and none of the MP3 Utilities versions are able to detect your player, i'll suggest that you repeat the shorting process to re-install the ADFU again. |
Re: Player not showed by Explorer
On the processor is written AK1025...

Re: Player not showed by Explorer
I tryed to install the player and the utility on another PC but it's the same. The PC install the driver for "USB 2.0 (HS) ADFU Device" but Explorer and the MP3 Utilities don't recognize the player...
