Nothing on screen of MP3 player

hiii

i've an old mp3 player 256Mo No Fm.. and it's dead player ..

i tried to recover it i't working i can see the removable disk and put the music inside..

but i can't see nothing in the screen .. doesn't show nothing .. maybe the firmeware i choosed it's bad or something like that !

can anybody help me plz !

Vangelis , just to double check, is your player the thumbdrive style with the LCD-type display?
