DEAD CMX mp3 886FM need compatible firmware
 

hello.i would aprecciate it if someone could help me with a compatbile firmware.
by mistake i used a firmware that wasn`t compatible, and now i get the bluescreen,or none depending on wich version of firmware i use.

I tried at least 100 by now.and they don`t work.the closest i got, was with ctw500 9.0.43 1,5/3,8cm screen 128x128
(instead of a blue screen i get an orange screen and a hourglass)

i took the mp3 player apart.but coudn`t find the id. just the chip and the memory serial

mhtd6 , just to double check that your player's processor chip's serial number is ATJ209* ? That is the 2nd largest square black chip.

There seems to be another list of firmwares here http://download.impn.net/soft_list/mp3_mp4_firmware/
But it's not yet verified whether they are suitable for these players.

the only thing that is written on the chip is:
CTW500

FC246FA

and they`re are only two chips the memory and this one..and space for an aditionat memory chip..i guess that`s for 2gb and 4gb versions..

my original mp3 player utilities was 3.79 but i tried also 4.05 and an older version too.i just can`t seem to make it work.

edit:i found on the otherside of the pcb another chip:

06LS51 i think it`s related to the radio function

3767 is FM Tunner

Actions does not produce "CTW500" solution. Possible manufacturer is Everglory

that could be true but there are players that use wilson 9.043 and 9.0.48 versions and have the ctw500 chipset.and the originial firmware was wilson.
I know that for sure(menu layout,options)

mhtd6 , the problem lies with that these player manufacturers often "copy" each other.
So, probably "Wilson Co." was the first manufacturer to create the firmware for these players, and other manufacturers started copying, even the name.
But i maybe wrong, who knows.

From the picture you linked, is your player a 1.5" screen?
There is only 1 CTW500 firmware for 1.5" screen in the downloads section here http://www.mympxplayer.org/firmware-9043-df412.html

yes it`s a 1.5inch screen..and i`ve tried allmost all versions of firmware the best results i get with 9.0.43 because some of them are compatbile with my screen and i at least get the hourglass..however another version 9.0.48 i get a white sort of like menu shape when i press the back button so i guess that is somewhat good ..
