i think i bricked my mp4... pls help im desperate...
ok I think I bricked a not-mine mp4 by trying to upgrade it... It is a HT-M488 (aka High Tech x-treme 512MB) that had the firmware version 9.0.42... this person asked for me to upgrade it so I tried first with 9.0.48 and the damn thing game me a white screen, but the pc recognized it and i put it back to the original. then i tried with the 9.0.50 and the rdiskupdate told me it had succeeded and it closed, but the mp4 never got out from the f/w upgrade screen so i just powed it off and on again and all it gave me was the damn crappy white screen again, and now the pc didn't recognize it and i cant downgrade it with my bump again!!!!
I don't want to open it there must be another way pls help me im really desperate and I really don't have time to open it plssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssssss.....  |
jmm0070 , try connecting the player to another USB port and hopefully it would re-detect your player again.
If not, you'll need to open it to short the player to force it to "reboot". You mentioned that you have a backup? Did it come on the player's CD or elsewhere? |
I already tried to connect in another usb port, and how do you force reset? Do you have to make the process mentioned in this forum or is it a simpler way?
Also pls tell me which firmware can I use to upgrade this version... lattesurf, i made a fw extraction to the mp4 before beggining trying to upgrade so I got the backup atlease :) |
yay i fixed it with the guide, and ythe firmware was 9.0.43 not 42, pls still some1 tell me where to find an upgrade to this version!!!
