player dead when disattached from USB, working when attached

Hello guys
Please - if anybody can help - I've got a "half-dead" player (bought on ebay... ACT75xx_S77, vers.9.1.51 is what is written in firmware version under SETUP ) just after a few days of use - meaning that it works OK when attached to PC or AC thru USB, and PC sees it as USB device OK, but it just blicks or goes black when diattached from USB. Is it really DEAD and should I try a recovery - or what can be the problem? Please, anyone... Thanks in advance

viktar.zhuk , what was the original player capacity?

When you connect it to the computer via usb, does the player operate properly?

Thx for reply. Original capacity 2gb, yes when attached works alright (tried playing and recording functions).
Can you tell me how to do a backup of firmware? If you are online, can we chat? I've got skype
