MP4 turns off when unplugged from USB or outlet

My Mp4 works great when plugged in, battery looks like it is full, I have charged it with an outlet and a usb. But once I pull the plug, the MP4 turns off.

Does anyone know what i can do?

thanks

I tried to open it to find the battery but it is very difficult. Funny thing is when I first got it, it did turn on without the charger. Then, when I went to charge it, it didnt come on again. Fustrated. :(

:o yep i thought of taking the battery out, but the mp4 looks like the nano's and it is difficult to take the cover off, Would you know how to take it off?

Try the shortest usb cable, like under 15cm. It solved my player from disconnecting, now I can fill it.

tulazik , it could likely be a problem of a bad connection in the player itself, or some damaged components (AC Adaptors are known to cause damage to some players). This causes the battery not be able to be charged, and would only work with an external power source (ac socket or usb socket).

you can use solder to put out the batery or you can cut batery cable use scissors .

:D Guess What Guys! I Fixed It!

I googled info to find out how to open the Ipod Nano and found instructions. So I carefully opened it and to my amazement the black wire of the battery was not connected. So I carefully, after a few tries connected it with tape. Yes I know, I need to solder it, but I didnt have one and didnt want to wait till the next day to borrow one. None the less, it worked with tape and it is great.

Thanks for all your help
