how do i find out my firmware? (pics of player inside)
 

hi all, i turned on my player earlier and all i get is a blank white screen. if i press the buttons i can still get music to play. also it gets extremely hot at the side of the screen. I need to know what firmware i need and what software do i use for firmware upgrade? here are some pics:

than u can see what player it is and what firmware u need.

I think I have the firmware for this player.
Did you change the firmware or did this happen all by itself?

sam36 , open the player to check for any short circuits. The heat you mentioned is not normal, and likely might be some short circuit.

open the player's cover. clean any unusual thing found on the LCD pins. re-solder the pins. cover the pins with tape.

Could it be that a short circuit put "blank" the screen... beside of wrong firmware I mean

DaremoS , it is very likely. Perhaps some signal/data pin for the screen got "shorted" and resulted in a blank screen.

"Hot" players generally mean either a short circuit somewhere, or a damaged battery.
